JOHN HARTMANN

Author, educator and music industry veteran John Hartmann began his professional career in the famous mailroom of the William Morris Agency. He later served as the Morris Office liaison to Colonel Tom Parker the legendary manager of Elvis Presley.

A veteran music agent, producer, personal manager and record executive, Hartmann has provided career direction for such luminaries as Chad & Jeremy, Sonny & Cher, Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Eagles, Jackson Browne, Peter Paul & Mary, Crosby, Stills & Nash, America, Poco, Ringo Starr, and many others. He is a results-oriented, operational leader with more than sixty years’ experience in the entertainment industry.

John was honored to receive the Talent Managers Association’s 2015 Heller Award for Lifetime Achievement in artist management. His book “ROCK – Building Bands in the Digital Age” is a guide for songwriters, musicians and bands seeking to build careers in the music renaissance. It is the textbook for The Holodigm Seminars, a ten week course available at Holodigm Academy.

John Boylan

John Patrick Boylan (born March 21, 1941) is an American record producer, musician, songwriter, music publisher and A&R executive.

In 1990, Boylan began teaching part time at UCLA Extension. His course, Record Production 448.6, was offered every fall semester until 2001, when he left Los Angeles and re-located to New York. Upon his return to Los Angeles in 2003, he began guest lectures at Citrus College and in 2005 he joined the Adjunct Faculty, teaching three courses: in the Recording Arts Department, he taught REC 145 (Critical Listening for Audio Engineers), and REC 245 (Careers in the Music Industry for Audio Engineers), and in the Music Department, he taught MUS 254, a Songwriter's Workshop. He retired from teaching in June 2022, but continues to do guest lectures there and at other colleges

Ron Stone

Ron Stone is an American personal manager who has worked to influence the legislation regarding digital music, file sharing, and musicians' intellectual property distribution rights.

Stone co-founded Gold Mountain Entertainment with Danny Goldberg and Burt Stein. The company managed Bonnie Raitt and Belinda Carlisle, whose albums achieved multi-platinum status. Later, with John Silva as a partner, Gold Mountain managed artists such as Nirvana, Beastie Boys, Beck, Rickie Lee Jones, Foo Fighters, Sonic Youth, Tracy Chapman, Ziggy Marley, The Baha Men, Joss Stone, and Sophie B. Hawkins.

Gold Mountain represents Ray Davies, Joan Osborne, Lynn Goldsmith, Fastball and The Wandering Hearts. Gold Mountain's Nashville office represents Ronnie Millsap, Todd Snider, and Hard Working Americans. Stone was also the founder and president of Something Music record company in partnership with Tony Valenzano and Kevin Day from Rocket Science.

In partnership with Curb Musifilms, Ron Stone Productions produced the feature film "The Harvest." Stone founded and operated World Domination Records in partnership with Dave Allen (Gang of Four and Apple/Beats) for ten years. He also founded and operated Rock-it-comics for five years. Stone has consulted on digital and copyright issues with the RIAA.

HOWARD B. WOLF

After graduating from UCLA with a Bachelor’s degree with honors in radio & TV, and a music minor, Howard served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He then began his career at CBS Television City.

He left CBS to join Burke & Weems, specializing in Personal Management of Artists and Talent Buying. A personal manager guides and directs an Artist’s career. Talent buyers secure talent from agents who have submitted them for possible performance. Burke & Weems bought talent for such notable venues as: The Coconut Grove, The Westside Room at The Century Plaza, The Crescendo on the famed Sunset strip, and The Venetian Room at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

After three years, Howard formed his own company, to include personal management, music publishing, record and concert production. His experience as concert producer and talent buyer began at the inception of the San Francisco scene during the middle 60’s. It involved artists such as The Greatful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, and Jimi Hendrix to name a few.

His concert audiences have varied in size from 1,000 to 70,000. During one 2½ year period, Howard was the largest buyer of Rock n’ Roll talent in America. During a ten year period of the nostalgia era, with artists like The Platters, Little Anthony, The Drifters, Diamonds, Shirelles, and a host of many others, he produced approximately 30 to 40 shows a year.

He also produced many of the legends of the Grand Ole Opry.

Howard also produced shows for state fairs across America and in the main rooms in Las Vegas and Reno, NV. His corporate clients have included Toshiba, Coca-Cola, IBM, Aetna Life, Merrill Lynch, NFL Alumni, American Heart Association, Special Olympics, Disneyland, the U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force.

Howard guest lectured at LMU for six years, and then for seven years through 2015, taught his own classes of Concert and Tour Production at UCLA and Musicians Institute .

Howard was awarded winner of the Telly Award for non-network television programs as Co-Producer of CIRCLE OF FRIENDS. Howard brought together 21 music stars of the 50’s & 60’s, for career, life stories, and songs.

Ed Gerrard

Ed Gerrard is the 2017 GRAMMY Award Winner for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media for the
film Miles Ahead, directed by and starring Don Cheadle. Gerrard is the first in GRAMMY history to win this
award as a “music supervisor,” changing the landscape of category eligibility within the industry. He is also a Peabody Award winner for his work on Mr. Soul (2021) (Best Documentary).

Gerrard is a co-founder of Impact Artist Management. He began his entertainment career working as an
apprentice to the legendary music manager and film producer, Shep Gordon. Gerrard became the first
in-house music supervisor at Gordon's Alive Pictures, finding key music for Gordon’s films and forming
long-standing relationships with top film directors. This included a career-long affiliation with director and
cultural icon Wes Craven. Gerrard has also managed the careers of artists including Dr. John, Luther
Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, Alice Cooper, Cassandra Wilson, Michelle Shocked, The Gipsy Kings, Jon
Cleary, and Amy Helm.

Gerrard’s music supervision credits include films such as the Scream trilogy as well as Blair Witch II, Cursed, The Last House On The Left, New York, I Love You, and the critically-acclaimed directorial debut of Don Cheadle in the 2016 release for Sony Pictures Classic, Miles Ahead.
Gerrard has been a board member of the Guild Of Music Supervisors since 2016 and has served on many
committees during this time.
